Company/Position Overview: Our client, a distribution company founded in the 1930s, located in Beachwood, OH, is seeking a QC Technician to join their team. Reporting to the QC Manager, the QC Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming parts utilizing calipers, height gauge, microscope, or dedicated test machinery. Our client is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), so candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents to be considered for this position.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)

Duties:
- Interpret drawings/prints with Geometric & Tolerance Dimensioning
- Conduct dimensional, visual, and other validations on parts and assemblies
- Process and inspect incoming materials to ensure the conformance of parts and sub-assemblies to support the business
- Document inspection results in the ERP system
- Complete inspection check sheets
- Initiate/complete Corrective Action Request form to send to suppliers
- Support material handling
- Perform first article inspection and PPAPs
- Support Engineering Reviews/MRBs and discussions with suppliers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, STEM degree or certification a plus
- 2+ years of QC experience
- Familiarity with quality systems and inspection tools
- Demonstrated math skills
- Ability to lead and document Root Cause and Corrective Actions using typical industry tools (8D, Fault Tree, etc.)
- Computer literate and familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with ISO 9000 and/or AS9100
- ASQ certification a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
