Qualified Staffing is hiring an IT Specialist for a silicone manufacturing company in Richmond, VA. This role provides technical support, maintains IT systems, and ensures employees have the tools needed to perform effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Manage helpdesk tickets and provide technical support to end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Set up new users, workstations, and equipment
- Maintain and update IT documentation and procedures
- Develop training materials and provide user support
- Monitor and support daily network operations
- Prioritize and manage multiple IT requests
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors
- Assist with system maintenance and updates
- Communicate clearly with users on issue status
- Support IT projects and initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- IT-related degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
- Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and domains
- Understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with Office 365 and business applications
- Ability to troubleshoot PCs, laptops, and peripherals
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi networks and access points
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- FortiGate firewall experience is a plus
