Material Handler 

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate hi-lo in a safe and efficient manner to move material 

Assign inventory locations to parts, as well as receiving work orders/purchase orders 

Complete receiving inspections and notifying all damaged freight to Shipping Coordinator 

Maintain accurate inventory records; cycle count; troubleshoot errors 

Safely transports finished goods from manufacturing to the shipping area

Securely loads the machines on to pallets

Verifies and accurately records data for machines before wrapping (build sheets, QA documents, etc.)

Wraps and packages machines for shipping (including but not limited to:  blocking and bracing machine on pallet, applying layers of bubble wrap, securing machine glass with foam packs, applying shrink wrap by hand or using shrink wrap machine, banding machine to pallet using a metal bander, applying corrugated sleeve, building crates, and adding the proper decals and labels)

Follows all loading, unloading, and proper lifting procedures according to training and SOP guidelines

Inspects material handling equipment, racking, dock doors, and pallets weekly, at a minimum

All other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

High School diploma or equivalent 

Experience with forklift 

Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions 

Organizational skills with attention to detail and work accuracy 

Good mathematical skills
