Shipping Supervisor

This large corporation is looking for a Supervisor who can perform the following duties and take ownership in his position. They will be responsible for all areas of the Warehouse.

• Responsible to open and/or close the facility on a rotating basis along with other Production supervisors and managers.
• Develops methods and procedures for transportation of products and commodities to customers, warehouses, and other storage facilities.
• Determines most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation. Inspects paperwork and materials received into the Shipping Department from various departments, making sure the Product description matches actual product to ship.
• Quantities listed are correct. Verify and sign waste manifests at time of pickup.
• Disburses orders and traffic tickets to be shipped to Shipping Clerks.
• Prepares shipping paperwork and distributes to appropriate personnel. Assign freight carriers or mode of transportation.
• Perform cycle counts for finished goods as required. Train all new Shipping Department employees according to company policy.
• Promote safety awareness throughout the company.
• Ensure all shipping equipment remains in working order at all times. Maintains good housekeeping practices in area of responsibility.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating traffic and shipping activities of the organization by performing the following duties. Responsible to train, assist and direct subordinates, conduct performance reviews, and enforce discipline.

We need some responsible that can manage but also mentor and create a positive, productive environment for our staff.

Full Benefits including 401K Hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
