We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician / Shop Lead with deep expertise in electrical diagnostics, advanced vehicle systems, and full-service mechanical repair.

This role is ideal for a technician with extensive hands-on experience who can lead complex diagnostics, mentor technicians, and support shop operations in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

πŸ” Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and electronic vehicle systems
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving CAN bus systems, ECUs, sensors, and wiring
  • Utilize schematics, oscilloscopes, scan tools, and diagnostic software
  • Complete engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and drivetrain repairs
  • Diagnose and repair A/C systems (EPA Section 609 compliant)
  • Conduct state inspections and emissions testing
  • Lead and support technicians with complex repairs and diagnostics
  • Oversee workflow, repair prioritization, and shop efficiency
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and team members
  • Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
⚠️ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of professional automotive technician experience (20+ preferred)
  • Proven expertise in electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle systems
  • Strong understanding of:
    • CAN bus systems
    • ECUs, BCMs, TPMS, sensors, relays
  • Experience using diagnostic tools (scan tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters)
  • State Inspection & Emissions Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to perform heavy mechanical repairs and full rebuilds
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Tech, or Service Manager
  • Experience with heavy trucks or fleet vehicles
  • MIG welding / fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with ADAS-related systems (TPMS, sensors, calibration awareness)
  • Experience with Windows/Linux-based diagnostic systems
