The Fork Truck/Reach Operator plays a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations by safely handling various types of forklift equipment, including counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers. This position involves the movement and stacking of inventory, navigating warehouse layouts, and performing order picking with attention to safety and accuracy during an 8-hour shift. The operator is also responsible for regular data entry to support inventory management systems, focusing exclusively on equipment operation without routine maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently
• Move and stack inventory items accurately within the warehouse
• Navigate warehouse environments to transport materials to designated locations
• Perform order picking according to inventory and shipping requirements
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment before operation
• Enter inventory data into management systems to maintain accurate records
• Report any equipment issues or operational concerns promptly

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating forklifts and reach trucks
• Forklift Operator Certification
• Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices
• Familiarity with inventory management processes
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
