Position Overview

Mural Group is partnering with a global manufacturing organization to hire a Process Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead both process optimization and equipment reliability within a high volume production facility.


This role sits at the center of plant performance, owning how parts are made and how machines run. You will drive process stability, reduce scrap, improve tooling performance, and ensure maintenance programs support consistent uptime.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop Process Engineering and Maintenance teams, including staffing, priorities, and budgeting
  • Own machine setup standards, work instructions, and controlled process documentation
  • Improve process capability across existing products to reduce scrap, downtime, and variability
  • Partner cross-functionally with planning, design, and production to resolve tooling, material, and manufacturing issues
  • Maintain and update engineering standards, spec sheets, and process documentation
  • Support production teams through training, troubleshooting, and real-time problem solving
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to resolve quality or performance issues
  • Define and execute preventive maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
  • Establish and manage critical spare parts inventory to reduce downtime risk
  • Collaborate with internal machine shop on tooling design, fixture builds, and mold improvements
  • Review engineering drawings and production data to optimize tool performance and part quality
  • Own quality outcomes on the floor, including authority to stop production for nonconforming output


What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a mix of process engineering and maintenance leadership
  • Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume production environment
  • Strong understanding of process optimization, tooling, and equipment reliability
  • Experience developing and executing preventive maintenance programs
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Hands-on problem solver with strong troubleshooting capability
  • Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead from the floor
