The Automotive Technician position at Midtown Auto Repair is a professional Automotive Technician who diagnoses, inspects, repairs and helps maintain vehicles of all capacities. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the various mechanical and electrical components of multiple makes and models.
On a typical day our technicians may perform the following: Detailed inspections, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, drivability diagnostics using various OEM factory and advanced aftermarket scan tools. Other services include but not limited to: Brake system inspection and repairs, Steering & Suspension inspections and repairs, drivetrain diagnostics and repairs, and alignments.
Midtown Auto Repair Services offers a clean & friendly work environment and is a family owned & operated full service automotive repair facility that has been serving Kodiak since 2006. Compensation is based upon experience and ability.
Duties:
- Diagnosing / troubleshooting various concerns
- Communicating / updating Service Advisor on repair orders
- Discussing in depth with customers on a needed basis
- Ability to make various repairs to multiple systems on all types of vehicles
- Ability to maintain a clean working environment
Qualifications:
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting Capabilities
- Two years or more of work in a professional auto repair shop
- Must supply your own tools to sustain various repairs through a regular work day
- Written and Verbal Communication
- Internet Applications
- Multi-Tasking
- Team Player
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 20 or more pounds
Highly Preferred:
- ASE Certifications or other automotive certifications i.e college degree, trade school or dealership certification.
