Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Overview

A leading acute care hospital in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a high-acuity emergency department within a Level II Trauma Center environment. The RN will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and emergency care for patients with acute illnesses, trauma, and critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care for trauma and acute care patients
• Perform triage assessments and emergency interventions
• Administer IV medications, vasopressors, and respiratory treatments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations
• Care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory, and critical care patients
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of ER experience

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program

Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• TNCC Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
• Skilled in ventilator care, stroke care, triage, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and emergency response situations
• Weekend coverage required
• Block scheduling available
