Since 1976, Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. (FCHC) has been a health care leader in Florida. We provide comprehensive primary and specialty health care and patient support services through a network of Centers surrounding Lake Okeechobee and across Florida’s Treasure Coast. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our communities has access to culturally competent, high-quality health care that they can afford. FCHC has locations in Clewiston, Moore Haven, Okeechobee, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Indiantown, Pahokee and West Palm Beach. FCHC’s Corporate Office is centrally located in West Palm Beach, Florida. FCHC has multiple staff members who speak Spanish and Creole, and translation is available for other languages as needed. FCHC has created a “one-stop shop” for patients–providing Pediatric and Adult Primary Care, Dental, OB/GYN and Women’s Health, Infectious Disease, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, chronic disease education and care management, referral assistance, benefit enrollment assistance and coordination, and telehealth services. Position Summary: This individual is responsible for building and strengthening organizational community and stakeholder relationships, leading and executing fundraising efforts with external individuals and entities, and leading high impact projects to advance the mission and fulfill the vision of Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. (FCHC)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plan to strategically engage with the community and stakeholders (including businesses, civic organizations, elected officials, and educational institutions) to: 1.) Enhance FCHC’s visibility in order to increase support for, and utilization of, FCHC services. 2.) Develop and strengthen community partnerships and organizational reputation. 3.) Develop and support partnerships with educational institutions to support student and resident education activities and patient care support legislator education and organizational advocacy efforts
- Develop and execute strategy and tactics for successful organizational fundraising, donor engagement, and financial growth. This includes annual giving campaigns and major gift solicitations from individuals, foundations, and corporate entities.
- Develop and manage donor relationships and philanthropy related data.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to execute activities and achieve goals.
- Track metrics and outcomes for engagement and philanthropy associated activities.
- Lead the planning and implementation of special projects and events as directed by the CEO.
- Write and submit grants in collaboration with the Director of Program Development and/or Executive Team.
- Support volunteer program development
- Support the organization’s communications function
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to successfully execute the role and responsibilities independently.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor development, management of donor relationships.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing grant funding.
- Knowledge of individual and institutional resources and stakeholders across FCHC’s service area.
- Master’s Degree in Public relations, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of high- level leadership, community engagement, public relations, or advocacy experience.
- Ability to travel routinely throughout the service area and as needed outside of service area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.
