Lead HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires periodic travel to worksites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical principles and be proficient in using various tools and diagnostic equipment.

Duties

• Assist in the installation of all types of environmental controls related to Techmark business.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues by conducting inspections and utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Commission and Service Controls Systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop solutions for mechanical challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in any other job duties that Techmark determine necessary to accomplish the goal of taking care of its business and customers.
• Job may require overnight travel, including out of state.

Minimum Physical Expectations

• Physical activity that often requires mechanical aptitude, use of hand tools and mechanical lifts.
• Physical activity that often requires extensive time standing and repetitive motion.
• Physical activity that often requires lifting under 50 lbs from low to high elevations.
• Physical activity that sometimes requires travel- car, train, and/or air.
• Physical activity that sometimes requires bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, kneeling and/or twisting.
• Physical activity that sometimes requires pushing and/or pulling 50lbs. but not more than 100 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
• Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face-to-face for long periods of time.
• Ability to wear safety equipment while performing the required duties: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility clothing, hardhat.

Minimum Environmental Expectations

• Extended periods of standing while working with hand tools. Working around slipping and tripping hazards while being mindful of coworkers.
• This position will require working both indoors and outdoors in various settings; agricultural and commercial work sites. Physical effort is needed to endure long hours working in various condition in awards positions causing physical discomfort and strain, lifting and adjusting heavy objects, and working with sharp, hot and/or very cold equipment and potential harmful gases that could cause injury or illness.
