Local aerospace company is seeking to hire several CNC Machinists for various shifts.
1st shift Monday through Thursday staring any where from 7am to 5:30pm, optional overtime on Friday and Saturday
2nd shift Monday through Thursday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am shift differential is $3.00
4th shift Friday through Sunday 5:30 am to 5:30 pm (work 36 get paid for 40) shift differential is $3.50
5th shift Friday through Sunday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am (work 36 get paid for 40) shift differential is $4.50
General Purpose of the Position
The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing products using CNC mills, ensuring the accuracy and quality of machined parts according to engineering specifications.
Major Work Functions and Desired Outcomes
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use calipers and other measuring equipment to ensure precision
- Set up tooling for machining operations
- Verify that the machine is producing parts according to engineering requirements and quality standards
Essential vs. Non-Essential Functions
The CNC Machinist must be able to perform the following essential tasks:
- Operate CNC machines effectively and efficiently
- Perform tool setups and ensure correct home position setups
- Apply basic machining practices and troubleshooting techniques
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
- Competencies/Knowledge: Basic machining practices
- Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Abilities: Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Personal Characteristics: Must be a team player, willing to follow instructions, and committed to contributing to the company’s growth in the machining field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in CNC Machining (HAAS MILLS W/ FANUC CONTROLS)
- Technical school training in CNC operations
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with various machinery, including forklifts, plasma cutters, drill presses, grinders, and welders
