JOB SUMMARY
This position is integral to the production process, existing to execute assigned manufacturing tasks efficiently and safely. The core objective is to ensure the consistent delivery of products meeting established standards for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality, Service, and Cost. This role fulfills the need for skilled labor to operate production machinery, manage materials, perform cleaning, and contribute to overall operational goals within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate machinery and equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Perform production tasks, including material handling, cleaning, and filling operations.
• Collect and administer production and process data.
• Report any safety, quality, or process-related issues to the Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
• Maintain production targets while upholding quality standards.
• Issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs) or Hazard reports when issues are identified.
• Provide progress updates to the Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the investigation of HSE or quality issues.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement activities for HSE, Quality, and other assigned programs.
• Clean portable tanks, valves, filters, pumps, and other equipment.
• Operate the automated tank washer machine.
• Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Operate a forklift for material movement.
• Transfer completed products into appropriate containers, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Measure product accurately for yield and consistency.
• Inspect filled containers for leaks.
• Complete batch tickets accurately and ensure proper labeling and staging of containers.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work areas.
• Add raw materials in the correct order for batch making.
• Coordinate sample testing with QC and make necessary batch adjustments.
• Operate milling/grinding equipment according to specifications.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout/Tryout procedures.
• Set up and break down milling equipment.
• Understand color development and use fineness check devices.
• Move to other trained production tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to pass a forklift test and obtain certification.
• Ability to operate a forklift effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to read and apply accurate labels.
• Ability to measure and weigh accurately.
• Ability to lift and handle containers weighing up to 75 lbs, bags of pigment up to 60 lbs, or maneuver drums up to 900 lbs.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and balance priorities.
• Dedicated and committed safety leadership and presence.
• Ability to climb stairs wearing steel-toed footwear.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments and inclement weather.
• Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Arm-Hand steadiness.
• Near vision ability.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working in a paint manufacturing facility.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• English Speaking.
• Microsoft basic skills.
