Senior Accountant

Location: Georgetown, KY

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support plant finance operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and an efficient month-end close. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation, manufacturing experience, and the ability to partner effectively across operations and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting plant accounting, including general ledger activity, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reviewing financial results, and ensuring accurate cost center reporting.
• Oversee AR/AP activity, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
• Manage fixed assets, including capital spend tracking, project documentation, and capitalization processes.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventory, and analysis of perpetual balances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Maintain documentation and internal controls to support audit and compliance requirements (including SOX).
• Prepare intercompany and directed supply reporting; provide payroll backup support as needed.
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in manufacturing or plant finance strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
