Custodian

*Must Obtain Security Clearance*

Job Summary:

The Custodian performs commercial custodial cleaning of buildings in compliance with corporate, project, and contractual guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform assigned custodial work safely and according to training

- Dry mop, wet mop, and sanitize floors

- Clean baseboards, walls, corners, windows, and doors

- Vacuum carpets

- Clean and disinfect restrooms and locker rooms

- Restock restroom and breakroom supplies

- Empty trash and collect recyclables

- Mix and use cleaning chemicals properly

- Report maintenance and repair needs

- Maintain professional communication and customer service

Safety Requirements:

- Follow GCR Occupational Safety & Health Program

- Wear PPE and follow all safety protocols

- Report injuries, unsafe conditions, and property damage

- Comply with vehicle safety policies and drug-free workplace requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Ability to obtain base access

- Pass drug test and background check

- Valid driver's license

- Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum two years of commercial janitorial experience

Preferred:

- Experience working on government contracts
