Transactional Healthcare Attorney
Based in New York, NY, we are a nationally recognized law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Healthcare practice is expanding and seeking an experienced Transactional Healthcare Attorney to join a growing team representing healthcare systems physician groups private equity sponsors healthcare technology companies ambulatory surgery centers and other healthcare providers across a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare attorney who values sophisticated deal work direct client interaction and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment. This position offers a competitive base salary of $300,000–$520,000 plus performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Advise healthcare providers physician groups hospitals investors and healthcare organizations on sophisticated transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions joint ventures management agreements MSOs and affiliation agreements with accuracy and efficiency
- Counsel clients on healthcare regulatory compliance matters involving Stark Law Anti-Kickback Statute HIPAA corporate practice of medicine and related federal and state healthcare regulations
- Support private equity and healthcare investment transactions involving healthcare entities and provider platforms while conducting due diligence and assisting with transaction structuring risk analysis and closing coordination
- Collaborate with corporate tax employment and regulatory attorneys on multi-disciplinary healthcare matters while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering strategic legal and business guidance
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school with active New York Bar admission in good standing; strong academic credentials required
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare transactional and/or regulatory matters with demonstrated strength in healthcare M&A physician practice transactions MSOs joint ventures and healthcare compliance issues
- Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Excellent drafting negotiation analytical and communication skills with the ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while collaborating effectively within a team; business development mindset and client management experience preferred
