Job Description
Anchor Talent has partnered with an Austin-based engineering firm to identify a Senior Civil Infrastructure Project Manager to join their growing team. This organization delivers complex public infrastructure projects across Central Texas and offers a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
This is a senior-level role for a licensed Professional Engineer who will operate in a seller-doer capacity, balancing project execution, client engagement, and team leadership. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to step into a key leadership role over time.
The work focuses on public-sector infrastructure projects within highly developed urban environments, including utilities, stormwater systems, roadway improvements, and pedestrian infrastructure. Projects are primarily rehabilitation and upgrades within existing right-of-way, not land development or greenfield work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage public infrastructure projects from pursuit through design and delivery
- Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical oversight on design work
- Build and maintain relationships with public-sector clients
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and client engagement
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, EITs, and CAD staff
- Mentor and develop junior team members while contributing to team growth
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall performance
- Navigate complex urban constraints, permitting, and stakeholder coordination
- Collaborate with senior leadership on project strategy and execution
- Participate in QA/QC processes, including peer review of projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Texas preferred or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience, primarily in public infrastructure
- 4+ years of project management experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Experience with utilities, stormwater, roadway, or municipal infrastructure projects
- Experience working in dense, highly developed urban environments
- Technical proficiency with Civil 3D and experience with Bentley StormCAD/CivilStorm, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS is preferred.
Location
- Hybrid after 90 days with 2 days in office
Compensation and Benefits
- Target compensation: $140,000+
