Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position is located in Brownsville, Texas. This role requires candidates to support a busy Cath Lab performing a variety of interventional procedures, including heart catheterizations, pacemakers, AICD, and EP ablations. Candidates are required to bring their licensed credentials on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Brownsville, Texas
  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.0
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); experience with Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP); interventional catheterization experience, peripheral/vascular and coronary procedures; candidates without these skills will not be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electrophysiology (EP); ability to work in a floating capacity between Interventional Radiology (IR), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) if competent, and Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts with every other weekend on call; every other night on call during weekdays.
  • Additional Information:
    • Patient ratio: 1:1
    • Equipment used: IABP, Impella, stents, balloons, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), ultrasound
    • Typical procedures include: Heart catheterizations, interventions, pacemakers, AICD, Watchman device, EP ablations, peripheral venous and arterial procedures
    • Response time for callbacks: 30 minutes
    • Number of Positions: 2
