Summary

Responsible for performing MRI procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved techniques and producing quality scans for physician interpretation.

 

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical record for patient history and clinical data for correlation with MRI
• Provides Services Excellence by using the “AIDET” Technique: Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You. Positions patients, explains procedure, and provides patient education
• Performs MRI procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved protocol. Displays knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and/or physiological data to obtain optimal studies
• Operates MRI equipment and monitors function of equipment. Recognizes malfunctions and needs for servicing. Takes appropriate steps to report those needs

 

Qualifications

• Current SCRQSA license, ARRT certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
