Job Summary:
This interventional radiology technologist position in Provo, Utah, involves ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparing patients for imaging procedures. The role requires producing high-quality images using appropriate equipment, maintaining safety protocols, and providing patient education and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour days with call - 4, 10-hour shifts, days may vary.
- Required Qualifications: HS diploma or GED; Utah State Radiologic Technology License; ARRT registration; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers; Vascular/Interventional radiography certification or one year of Angiography/Interventional experience; one (1) year of vascular or interventional experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS or PALS certification.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment, be able to lift and transfer patients, navigate crowded rooms, and stand for extended periods. A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment, with the use of an existing badge encouraged.
