Associate Vineyard Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Associate Vineyard Manager to support vineyard operations in the Lompoc area. This is a 6-month contract opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment and is passionate about vineyard management, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily vineyard operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met
• Partner closely with vineyard leadership to execute operational goals and priorities
• Coordinate and oversee field activities, including labor crews and third-party contractors
• Assist with scheduling, resource planning, and monitoring vineyard block performance
• Implement and support viticulture practices aligned with production goals
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) standards
• Collect and analyze data to support operational decisions and continuous improvement efforts
• Assist with harvest activities and ensure smooth execution of daily operations
• Support team leadership efforts, including training, coaching, and workforce coordination

Qualifications

• Experience in vineyard operations, agriculture, or a related field
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonal and operational needs
• Knowledge of vineyard practices and safety standards preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
