Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer position located in Cooperstown, New York. This role involves performing high-quality ultrasound imaging focused on both general and specialized vascular studies within a facility that operates an IAC-accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Cooperstown, New York
- Shift Time: Days
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.0 hours
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), education as a sonographer, and no minimum years of experience required. Candidates must hold a valid license and be proficient in general and vascular ultrasound studies.
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years ultrasound experience; RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification is preferred.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, on-call rotation includes 1 weekday evening on-call every other week and 1 weekend on-call approximately every fifth week. The call schedule is shared among a team of five technicians to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Additional Information: Sonographers are expected to have strong skills in general and vascular ultrasound, with experience in interventional radiology (IR) preferred. Must be proficient in performing all of the following vascular ultrasound studies: upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex studies, carotid duplex studies, bypass graft, mesenteric artery, renal artery duplex studies, vein mapping duplex studies, fistula flow, and venous reflux studies. Profile competency scores and experience for each study type should be detailed in the application.
