Apprentice Carpenter

NSC Skilled Trades is seeking 2 Apprentice Carpenters for a long-term commercial project in Charleston, SC.

JOB DETAILS:
PAY: $20–$25/hr (depending on experience)
START: ASAP
DURATION: Through May 2027
HOURS: Monday–Saturday, 40+ hrs/week (OT available)
TIME: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
LOCATION: Citadel Mall - Charleston, SC 29407

SCOPE:

• Remove drywall, framing, doors, ceilings, flooring, millwork, and fixtures
• Haul debris and maintain clean demo areas
• Use pry bars, sawzalls, rotary hammers, hammer drills, and other demo tools
• Assist with framing, backing, blocking, doors, windows, drywall, and structural components
• Support journeymen and foremen with layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Read and follow blueprints and drawings under supervision

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of commercial construction or carpentry experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, gloves)
• OSHA 10 and Lift Certification preferred
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen and basic NSC background check
