Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in Des Moines, IA, requiring at least 24 months of Cath Lab experience and availability for on-call and weekend rotations.

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab/EP setting across multiple Des Moines campuses
\n
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with one random day off per week (blocked scheduling not guaranteed)
\n
• On-call requirements include 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday 7:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
\n
• Floating required across all Des Moines campuses to like units
\n
• Uses Epic EMR
\n
• Holiday rotation required — travelers must work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
\n
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
\n
• Current ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required
\n
• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
\n
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
\n
• Structural heart experience highly preferred
\n
• EP experience highly preferred
\n
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
\n
• Scrubbing experience preferred
\n
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
\n
• One supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Candidates will be expected to scrub, circulate, and monitor as needed
\n
• Precepting of other staff may be required as needed
\n
• Former employees of the health system (FTE or PRN, including float pool) are not eligible if they have worked there within the past 12 months; this policy applies regardless of which facility within the system they worked at
\n
• Candidates who have previously worked travel assignments at this health system (not as FTE or PRN) are not subject to the separation policy
\n
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility should be aware of local traveler policies
