What You'll Do

• Lead a high-acuity Level IIIB NICU with approximately 625 annual admissions
• Oversee clinical operations, provider performance, and quality initiatives
• Implement and monitor quality improvement and patient safety programs
• Collaborate with hospital, academic, and subspecialty teams to expand neonatal services
• Participate in teaching medical students and residents, including Grand Rounds and simulation training
• Mentor residents in research and quality projects
• Support scholarly and academic initiatives in partnership with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
• Utilize advanced neonatal therapies such as high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy
• Maintain hands-on clinical care as needed, balancing administrative leadership and direct patient care

What You Need
Required:

• MD/DO degree, Board Certified in Neonatology
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility
• Minimum 3 years of Neonatal ICU experience
• Experience with neonatal therapies and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Preferred:

• Leadership or administrative experience in a NICU setting
• Academic involvement or teaching responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
