Activities Director - Fox Run Manor Full-time

Position Summary:

The Activities Director is responsible for the overall direction of the care community’s activity program.

Position Responsibilities of Activities Director:

* Develops, coordinates and evaluates the activity programming within the care community
* Completes sections of the MDS and develops care plans that are specific to each resident
* Interviews new residents and their families to determine interests and abilities, family history and background.
* Responsible for the development and on-going success of the Volunteer program
* Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies to carry out activities
* Participates in the QAPI process
* Assumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competence
* Schedules and evaluates staff to ensure adequate program coverage, including weekend, evenings and holidays
* Responsible for creation and management of activity calendar
* Perform other duties as assign

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. College and/or clerical schooling preferred. Successful completion of Activity Director Course or 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program.
