Fitness and Aquatic Center Instructor II

Spring Lake Village

W-2 Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour

Part Time, 15 Hours Weekly, Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Summary:
This is a W-2 Employee Position with Spring Lake Village. The Fitness/Aquatics Instructor II leads patrons to fitness classes in the centers' Strength Training room and pool area.

Competencies and skills:

Essential:
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
* Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
* Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Credentials:
Essential:
* CPR certificate
* First Aid certificate

*Lifeguard

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Some College in a related field and/or minimum of 1 certification from nationally recognized organization.

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 2 years instructor and/or assistant to a fitness or wellness director with prior fitness and/or aquatic programs experience.

Nonessential:

*Certified Personal Trainer
