Position Summary:
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial environments. Candidates should possess strong technical and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, performance-based position operating Monday through Friday with participation in an on-call rotation schedule. Remote work and relocation assistance are not available.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, inspect, and test fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical documents
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and AHJs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, laptops, and mobile devices in daily operations
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately and on time
- Use Honeywell CLSS software and other industry technologies
- Maintain organized inventory, vehicle stock, and job materials
- Participate in weekly safety meetings and ongoing technical training
- Follow company safety standards, vehicle policies, and PPE requirements
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites and company vehicles
- Support a positive team environment while delivering exceptional customer service
Qualifications
Preferred Certifications & Experience
- NICET II Certification or higher
- Denver Fire Alarm Installer License
- Backflow Certification
- Additional industry certifications are a plus
Required Skills
- Strong fire alarm troubleshooting and service experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Computer proficiency and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
- Ability to comply with all Federal, State, and local codes
Requirements
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry equipment up to 80 lbs
- Ability to safely use ladders up to 28 feet
- Ability to work in construction and commercial environments throughout the day
