Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract working Monday–Friday day shifts.

Details

  • Work setting is a medical center rehabilitation therapy department
  • Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no weekend shifts
  • Patient population spans neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
  • Responsibilities include directing and coordinating physical therapy services across the department

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3+ years preferred
  • Current California PT or OT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; additional languages preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis situations
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, administering prescribed physical agents, and coordinating departmental operations
  • Role involves overseeing departmental quality improvement and CQI activities
  • Duties include reviewing and ensuring accuracy of patient charges and billing
  • Candidate is expected to train nursing and other hospital staff as needed through on-the-job training
  • Role includes collaborating with physicians, administrative team, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care
  • Professional dress code required; neat and professional appearance expected
  • Candidate must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory requirements
