Certified Nurse Aide CNA

Salem Care Center is seeking a Certified Nurses Assistant for Day and Night shift.

Must be able to work rotating weekends and some holidays. Pay negotiable upon experience.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Personal Care (ADLs): Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Mobility & Safety: Turning, repositioning, and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs to prevent pressure sores.
• Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Nutrition: Serving meals, feeding residents, and monitoring food/fluid intake.
• Documentation: Reporting changes in physical or mental condition (e.g., injuries, behavior changes) to nurses.
• Environment & Maintenance: Changing bed linens, cleaning rooms, and ensuring a tidy, safe environment.

Physical Demands

• This is a physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients, often over 50 pounds

Requirements

• Must be a certified nurse aide (CNA) in the state of Missouri.
• Strong communication skills to report to nurses and assist residents with, for example, dementia or sensory loss.
• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and some holidays.
