Job Title: IT Hardware Helper 
Location: Lewisville, TX 
Pay Rate: $17/hr 

Company Summary:

 Anistar is looking for qualified IT candidates for a number of contract positions. Our client is a leading AV and information technology contractor with multiple locations throughout the US.

JOB DUTIES

• Delivery of project specific hardware.

• Review equipment list with customer upon delivery.

• Install new PC hardware and remove existing.

• Responsible for the proper connection of equipment.

• Troubleshoots issues with new components.

• Responsible for cable management.

• Research and obtain information on installation specific hardware.

• Meet all installation deadlines.

• Responds to customer service-related issues promptly.

• Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, installation tickets, and inventory items for all resources assigned to a job.

• Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs.

• Operation of power tools.

• Work is performed to company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.

• Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.

• Full compliance with company and customer safety programs.

• General warehouse assignments between project deployments will be required.

• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 6 months of experience in a similar technology field.

• Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and iOS systems.

• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• General PC hardware certifications preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well organized.

• Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse groups.

• Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.

• Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.

• Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.

5.0 PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.

• Lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. is required.

• Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities also required.

• Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
