Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by transporting materials safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating rear-wheel steering forklifts and yard tractors to load and unload shipments, transport raw materials, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Operate rear-wheel steering forklifts and yard tractors to safely and efficiently transport materials within the facility.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper handling and storage of products.
- Transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods between various departments.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safe and optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating forklifts and handling materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and storage locations are clear and accessible.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, warehouse personnel, and other team members to coordinate material movements and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to provide updates on material availability and keep production lines stocked with raw materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with yard tractors and their safe operation is a plus
- Strong mathematical skills to handle inventory counts, pallet tie & tier, expiration dates, etc.
- Experience with picking, packing, RF scanner, loading, pick, pallet jack, unloading, packaging, reach truck, and forklift operating
- 2-3 years of warehouse and forklift experience preferred
- Being bilingual is a plus

Work Environment
Work in a GMP regulated, temperature-controlled environment within a very clean 135,000 square foot facility. The location is well maintained, situated in Hopkins, and offers three shifts: 1st Shift from 5am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift from 1pm - 9:30pm Monday-Friday, and 3rd Shift from 9pm - 5:30am Sunday-Thursday. Shift differentials are guaranteed upon conversion: $1/hr-$2/hr for 1st shift, $2/hr for 2nd shift, and $4/hr for 3rd shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
