Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. The Occupational Therapist will work with patients to improve daily living skills, functional independence, sensory processing, motor development, and overall quality of life through individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, collaborative, and passionate about delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, self-care, and daily living activities.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and families regarding treatment goals and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EMR systems.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and therapy students as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the applicable state.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience in pediatric, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
