Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab role requiring 24+ months of recent cardiac cath experience and prior travel contract history.

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit in a regional hospital setting
\n
• Patient population includes peripheral and coronary angio, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
\n
• Average of 4 patients/scans per day
\n
• Equipment used includes Artis Zee C-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector
\n
• EMR: Epic
\n
• 4x9 hour day shifts, 36 hrs/week, with a 0645 start time
\n
• Block shifts cannot be guaranteed
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Weekend requirements to be determined
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 24 months of current experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab required
\n
• ARRT or RCIS certification required
\n
• AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certification required
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy required
\n
• Proficiency and comfort with peripheral and coronary angio cases required
\n
• Proficiency and comfort with PCI and pacemaker procedures required
\n
• Impella experience highly preferred
\n
• Acist Injector, iFR, and IVUS experience highly preferred
\n
• Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed applicants may be considered but must apply for license at offer acceptance
\n
• License required if applicable
\n
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
\n
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures including peripheral/coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker implants
\n
• Hospital-provided light blue scrubs
\n
• Contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
\n
• Limited time-off requests permitted during the winter holiday period
\n
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
\n
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or float pool PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments in other UPH markets
