Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical night shift position in Springfield, TN, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Works across two Med/Surg units (MS2 and MS3) in a hospital setting
\n
• Each unit has 27 beds with a 5:1 patient ratio
\n
• Patient population includes post-operative patients, with a focus on orthopedic cases
\n
• Procedures performed include blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance
\n
• Documents using Meditech Expanse EMR
\n
• Equipment includes computers on wheels, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn vital sign machines
\n
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 days per week
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Floating between MS2 and MS3 units is required
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license — TN or compact license required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
\n
• BLS required (AHA or ARC accepted)
\n
• ACLS preferred but not required
\n
• Experience with post-operative and orthopedic patients required
\n
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
\n
• One professional reference required
\n
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Unit secretaries are available during day shift; patient care techs are available on all shifts
\n
• Dark blue scrubs are required
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
\n
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
\n
