Snelling is looking for multiple CNC Machinist’s for a fabrication and machining company in the Calera, AL area! Looking for someone who will become a part of a team that prides themselves on delivering quality products and services with every project they complete!
CNC Machinist Description
This role will be responsible for setting up large parts, G code programming, machining and working with our systems to produce Quality parts. The Shop is primarily a cast iron, steel and stainless alloy shop. They have a variety of horizontal and vertical boring bars, a gantry and lathes.
Responsibilities for CNC Machinist:
- Blueprint reading, understanding symbols and interpreting complex drawings
- Setting up either castings or fabrications
- Creating and modifying G-Code and operation of CNC equipment and manual machines
- CAM programming preferred
- CNC Machining of complex and high precision parts in metal and plastic
- Part quality and inspection
- Demonstrate quality craftsmanship, with a desire to produce the best quality components possible
- Responsible for fluid level maintenance of the assigned machine while he/she is working on that machine.
- Experience with CNC programming (Fanuc (primary), Fagor and Miltronics).
- Experience machining fabrications and castings.
- Experience in Job Shop or rapid prototyping environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for eight to ten hours.
- JR CNC MACHINIST - at least 1–2-year experience, $20-23/hr
- Mid-level- CNC Machinist - 3-5 years’ experience, $23-26/hr
- SR CNC Machinist - 5+ years’ experience, $26-30/hr
