Job Description
Role: Electrical-Mechanical Technician | Full Time | Contract to Hire
Location: Irwin, PA
Pay: $30 - $35 / hour
Benefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.
Our Global Manufacturing client is looking to add a Electrical-Mechanical Technician to their team. The candidate will perform a wide range of technical duties supporting the assembly, installation, and service of industrial equipment. This role offers variety, hands-on work, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assemble machines and perform electrical and mechanical installations
- Create and interpret electrical drawings and documentation
- Perform machine startup, debugging, testing, and commissioning to ensure successful project completion and on-time delivery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, Machine Build, and Engineering teams to address customer needs and resolve issues
- Travel to customer sites to install, evaluate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required
- Complete project reports and documentation in a timely manner
You will follow all company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and participate in required training. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical-Mechanical Engineering Technology (preferred)with 3 years of experience in machine assembly or electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Proficiency with measurement and diagnostic tools (micrometers, calipers, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic electrical drafting and design
- Experience with AutoCAD; Allen-Bradley and Siemens programming software; and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- SAP and Salesforce experience is a plus
- Ability to follow ISO procedures related to quality and job performance
