The organization is dedicated to fostering strong member relationships and providing high-quality services. This role supports the membership department in ensuring smooth operations and effective engagement with members.

Job Description:

The Membership Specialist will manage administrative tasks related to member services, assist with recruitment and retention efforts, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and communications. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with members in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support membership recruitment and retention activities.
  • Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations in the database.
  • Respond to member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting membership events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of membership status and track relevant data.
  • Prepare membership reports and assist with data analysis to support growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure membership needs are met.
  • Assist in coordinating communication efforts, including newsletters and announcements.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of membership experience within a nonprofit association setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; experience can compensate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AMS/CRM systems (ideally iCIMS).
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
