Duties
- Diagnose hardware and software issues across various devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Perform repairs on computer hardware components such as motherboards, screens, batteries, and internal circuits using hand tools and soldering techniques.
- Troubleshoot operating systems including Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows to identify software conflicts or malfunctions.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to analyze device layouts and pinpoint faults efficiently.
- Conduct soldering repairs on small electronic components to restore device functionality.
- Test repaired equipment thoroughly to ensure all systems operate correctly before returning to customers.
- Provide technical support by guiding customers through troubleshooting steps or explaining repair processes clearly.
- Maintain detailed repair logs and documentation for each device serviced.
- Assist in field service activities by traveling to customer locations when necessary for on-site repairs or support.
- Use various hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble electronic devices with precision.
- Support retail sales teams by providing technical expertise on device features and repair capabilities when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in repairing consumer electronics or computer hardware is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.
- Skilled in soldering techniques for small electronic components with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting guides for complex devices.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for disassembly and repair tasks.
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Experience providing technical support in a retail or field service environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of mobile devices including smartphones and tablets is desirable.
