A dry cleaning presser is responsible for pressing and finishing garments after they have been cleaned, ensuring they are wrinkle-free, properly shaped, and ready for pickup or delivery. This role requires both technical skill and attention to detail.

  • Inspect garments to identify fabric type and determine the correct pressing method.

  • Operate pressing machines (steam presses, irons, steamers) to remove wrinkles and creases, adjusting temperature, pressure, and steam settings as needed.

  • Remove stains or spots before pressing if necessary.

  • Fold and store finished garments neatly for pick-up or delivery.

  • Assist in other dry cleaning tasks such as sorting, stain removal, and folding.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment, following safety protocols and wearing protective gear.

  • Communicate with customers to address concerns, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in dry cleaning or pressing.

  • Attention to detail for inspecting garments and operating equipment precisely.

  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and perform repetitive motions.

  • Time management to meet production goals and deadlines.
