Powder Coat Technician / Powder Coating Operator

Powder Coating & Production

• Operate powder coating equipment including spray guns, hoppers, reclaim systems, and booth collection systems
• Apply powder coatings using both automated and manual spray techniques
• Adjust equipment settings as needed to improve coating quality and efficiency
• Support production schedules by operating assigned machinery and workstations
• Monitor coating consistency, coverage, and finish quality
• Reduce material waste through proper equipment operation and process control
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Identify and troubleshoot coating or equipment issues when possible
• Understand the effects of pretreatment, curing, airflow, voltage, gun settings, and part geometry on coating performance

Quality & Safety

• Follow all company safety procedures along with OSHA and environmental guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of coating equipment
• Conduct quality checks before curing and identify defects or inconsistencies
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or environmental incidents promptly
• Work collaboratively with production leadership and team members to maintain efficiency and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous powder coating or industrial paint line experience preferred
• Experience operating powder coating booths and spray systems strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with changing temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
• Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses and steel-toe/composite boots
• Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment
