Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Advanced Urogynecologic Care is seeking a dedicated and professional Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is vital to our "by women, for women" mission, combining clinical expertise with administrative support to provide seamless, compassionate care in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence:
Patient Intake: Escort patients to exam rooms, capture vitals (height, weight, BP), and document the reason for the visit and medical history in the EMR.
Procedure Support: Assist physicians and nurses with specialized examinations and procedures (e.g., pelvic exams) following strict infection control and universal protocols.
Lab Coordination: Collect and process specimens, complete requisitions, and ensure proper labeling and routing.
Equipment Care: Perform daily calibration of lab equipment and maintain the sterility of surgical instruments and medical tools.
Administrative & Operational Support:
Pre-Visit Prep: Conduct pre-visit chart reviews the day before appointments to ensure all necessary lab results, supplies, and documentation are ready.
Patient Communication: Manage clinical phone calls, direct inquiries to appropriate staff, and assist with prescription-related requests.
Front Office Synergy: Collaborate with front desk staff on appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and processing medical forms.
Environment Management: Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked examination rooms; monitor sample medications and maintain sterilization logs.
Qualifications
Certification: Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
Experience: Previous experience in a medical clinic; experience in OB/GYN or Urology is a significant plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred) and standard office software.
Soft Skills: Exceptional phone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced private practice environment.
Job Details
Pay: $18.52 – $21.00 per hour
Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM
