Location: Whitefish, MT (Under the Big Sky Festival grounds)
Type: Temporary / Event-Based
Compensation: All positions are tipped (hourly + tips; role dependent)
Minimum Availability Required: July 17, 18, and 19
Open Roles: Line Cooks / Prep Cooks, Servers / Hospitality Runners
Overview
We’re hiring an energetic, hospitality-first team for Under the Big Sky Festival to help us showcase Range Montana Wagyu—locally raised, Montana-grown beef served with pride. This is a fast-paced festival environment where the guest experience matters: friendly, sharp, clean execution, and team-first attitudes.
You’ll be part of a crew representing Range on one of the biggest weekends of the year—helping introduce guests to our Wagyu, telling the story, and delivering a memorable food experience.

Minimum Availability Requirement (All Roles)
Applicants must be available July 17, 18, and 19 (minimum).
Additional prep, load-in, or breakdown shifts may be available before/after these dates depending on role.
Role Details
1) Festival Culinary Team — Line Cook / Prep Cook (Tipped Event Role)
Overview
Join our festival culinary team supporting high-volume service for VIP and/or festival food operations. You’ll work with a tight crew executing clean, consistent food with speed and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Execute prep and line service to spec in a high-volume environment
- Maintain food safety, labeling, temps, sanitation, and station organization
- Communicate clearly with chefs and teammates during service
- Support load-in, setup, breakdown, and end-of-shift cleaning
- Keep composure and quality under pressure
Requirements
- Previous BOH experience (line or prep); event/festival experience a plus
- Knife skills and ability to follow specs and systems
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40–60 lbs
- Food safety knowledge and clean working habits
- Reliable transportation and on-time arrival
2) Festival FOH — Server / Hospitality Runner (Tipped Event Role)
Overview
We’re hiring servers and hospitality team members to deliver friendly, fast, polished service during one of the busiest weekends of the year. This role is for people who can move, communicate, and keep a great attitude all day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent guest-facing hospitality in a high-energy environment
- Run food and beverages quickly and accurately; assist with guest needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Support POS and/or cashless transactions as assigned
- Work as a team: communicate, reset, restock, and stay ahead of the rush
- Participate in setup/load-in and breakdown/pack-out as scheduled
Requirements
- Prior FOH experience preferred (restaurant, catering, events)
- Strong communication, positive attitude, and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to be on your feet for long shifts and lift 25–40 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
