About the Role:
Join SILVER CITY RECYCLING LLC as a CDL Driver and play a crucial role in our mission to promote sustainability through recycling. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for transporting recyclable materials safely and efficiently in Meriden, CT.CDL and experience needed to operate Rolloff truck or 4 car carrier.
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles to collect recyclable materials from various locations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials collected.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members throughout the day.
- Assist in loading and unloading recyclable materials as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients.
- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance practices.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
- Familiarity with recycling processes and materials is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
