CDL Driver Class A/Shop Associate

Position: CDL Driver/Shop Associate
Location: Colorado (Local Travel with Occasional OTR)
Pay: $26-28/hour DOE

Position Overview: Jones Commercial Fencing is seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver who will primarily operate locally within Colorado, with occasional over-the-road (OTR) responsibilities. This role also supports shop and yard operations, making it ideal for a hands-on team player who takes initiative and contributes wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Equipment Operation:

·       Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dually trucks and gooseneck trailers

·       Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites and the shop

·       Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers (experience with additional equipment is a plus)

Loading & Logistics:

·       Load and unload materials efficiently and safely

·       Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with safety regulations

Maintenance & Safety:

·       Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment

·       Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and equipment

·       Adhere to all safety policies and DOT regulations

Shop & Yard Support:

·       Assist with general shop duties as needed, including:

o   Stocking, organizing, and tagging materials

o   Assembling gates and fence components

o   Maintaining shop tools and equipment

o   Keeping the yard and shop clean, safe, and organized

Qualifications and Requirements:

·       Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience

·       Valid CDL Class A license with Airbrake endorsement (required)

·       Experience operating equipment such as skid steer, telehandler, forklift, or excavator preferred

·       Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

·       Clean driving record for the past 3 years (in accordance with insurance requirements)

·       Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       English required; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
