Job Description
CDL Truck Drivers at Mountain States Snowcats operate dump trucks, semi/flatbed rigs, and other commercial vehicles to support our civil construction and snow operations. You'll haul materials to and from active job sites, transport equipment, and coordinate closely with field crews and project managers. This is local and regional work — you go home at the end of your shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A or B commercial vehicles — dump trucks and semi/flatbed rigs — safely and efficiently
- Haul construction materials (aggregate, fill, spoils, asphalt) to and from active job sites
- Transport heavy equipment between job sites and the yard using flatbed trailers
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD/paper) and HOS records per FMCSA requirements
- Navigate mountain roads, construction zones, and job site access in all weather conditions
- Coordinate with project managers on haul schedules, material quantities, and delivery timing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
- Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience — construction, dump truck, or flatbed strongly preferred
- Clean MVR — will be verified
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA HOS rules, and ELD compliance
- Comfortable driving mountain roads and accessing construction sites in all weather conditions
- Must be 21+ years of age; must pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Compensation & Benefits
$30.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. Compensation range posted in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final compensation determined based on qualifications and experience.
