Job Title: Saw Operator
Job Description
Join a small and dedicated team as a Saw Operator in York County, where you will play a crucial role in cutting cast iron bars to size using large automatic band saws. This position offers an opportunity to work in a close-knit environment with a family-owned company that values its employees.
Shift and Pay
First Shift - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Pay: $24.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Operate large automatic band saws to cut 6 and 12 foot dura-brs (cast iron bars) to size.
- Use a forklift and overhead crane to transport materials to the saw.
- Measure, cut, and band materials together, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Place the finished product on pallets for shipping.
- Utilize the Oracle system to read and process orders.
Essential Skills
- Experience with saw operation or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle systems is a plus but not required.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small shop with 3 to 5 people at any given time, ensuring a tight-knit community. The position operates on the first shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute break. The focus is on maintaining a laid-back atmosphere while ensuring productivity and quality.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
