Maintenance Repair Tech

A well known Alliance company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech. **POSITION:** Maintenance
**PLANT LOCATION:** Alliance
**SHIFT:** 2:30 PM 1:00 AM | 2nd Shift
**PAY RATE:** $18.50/hr

### Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Understand and follow all quality and safety rules/policies.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Able to follow procedures and work instructions.
* Safely operate line equipment including filler, unscrambler, sleever, capper, case packer, carton erector, and palletizer.
* Complete required paperwork including PM documents, parts requisitions, and other documentation requested by supervision.
* Perform changeovers and washouts as required.
* Monitor line production activities and assist team members as needed.
* Identify quality issues and communicate concerns to supervision.
* Perform mechanical repairs, facility repairs, plumbing, minor electrical work, and welding.
* Maintain machinery, equipment, and facility appearance through PMs, projects, and assigned tasks.
* Fabricate repair parts as needed.
* Communicate line issues with supervisors and incoming shifts daily.
* Train and transfer knowledge as requested by supervision.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
* Use required PPE including gloves, safety glasses, goggles/face shield, and steel-toed shoes.
* Work overtime as needed.
* Maintain a neat and clean work area.

### Requirements:

1. Must be able to work four 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
2. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and move items up to 100 lbs.
3. Must pass required testing including math/personnel testing.
4. Must drive a forklift and safely operate forklift equipment.
5. Must have a valid drivers license with no more than 2 points on driving record.
6. Must be capable of following verbal and written instructions.
7. Must maintain good attendance.
8. Must have good reading and writing skills.
9. Must be able to perform basic math.
10. Must communicate and work effectively with others.
11. Must be willing to wear a company-provided communication device.
12. Must wear required PPE including dust mask, respirator, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.
13. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical job duties.
14. Some repetitive lifting and motion required.
15. Must supply own tools and tool storage (tool allowance provided).
