Job Description

This contract role provides the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and a multi-disciplinary team to address the diverse needs of students throughout the district.
Your expertise as a school psychologist will help shape positive educational outcomes. You’ll work exclusively onsite, conducting psychoeducational evaluations, providing crisis response, assisting with mental health initiatives, and facilitating counseling services. The role requires an active NCDPI School Psychologist license and proficiency with ECATS.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active NCDPI School Psychologist (PSYCH) license
- Demonstrated experience in PreK-12 educational settings
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with ECATS
- Strong background in psychoeducational assessment and consultation
- Skilled in crisis response, mental health support, and staff/parent collaboration
- Ability to communicate effectively and work seamlessly as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Onsite availability for a full-time, 37.5-hour workweek (no remote option)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention for students
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for suspected disabilities
- Lead and participate in school conferences with parents and staff
- Address a range of mental health needs
- Deliver training sessions to teaching and support staff
- Collaborate closely with administration, educators, and families
- Participate on multi-disciplinary district-level teams
- Fulfill additional assignments as directed by the supervisor
This is a full-time position running from August through the end of May for the upcoming school year. Microsoft Teams interviews may be scheduled with qualified candidates.
