American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) position in Hawaii, requiring telemetry monitoring skills and a valid Hawaii RN license.

- Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including 3 Step-Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds \n
- Patient ratios are 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU \n
- Procedures include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood glucose testing \n
- Equipment used includes BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring \n
- Charting is performed in Meditech; medications dispensed via Pyxis \n
- Varied shift schedule, 36 hours per week (following the first week of orientation) \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Floating required to all acute units in-house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER \n
- \n
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment \n
- BLS/BCLS required \n
- ACLS preferred \n
- PALS preferred \n
- NIHSS certification preferred \n
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year \n
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred \n

- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment \n
- Travelers not yet in possession of a HI RN license must apply for one upon acceptance of an offer \n
- COVID-19 vaccination is required \n
- Scrubs required as the dress code \n
